The
new golf carts have arrived! After some very successful negotiating on
the part of our General Manager, Lake Forest just received an entire fleet of
new, green, Yamaha golf carts. These are beautiful machines that we
will be able to enjoy for four years at which time we will arrange for
another contract. This is the second consecutive lease program in which Lake
Forest has participated. Previously the association had owned its own
carts and had to deal with all the maintenance and service headaches that
went with them. After a long study by a previous board and our
management, a conclusion was reached that the association would not only
save money but would also be able to consistently provide the very highest
quality of golf carts by switching to a lease program.
As
part of the contract, Lake Forest also arranged for one special cart to be
provided to the city for use at school athletic events as an ambulance.
This is part of our ongoing efforts to promote community cooperation between
the association and the city, county and State governments. So, when Lake
Forest members see an injured athlete being carried to medical treatment on
that machine, they can take pride in the fact that it is an example of the contribution that the Lake Forest Property Owner's Association
makes to the community.
