Today the Lake Forest Tennis Association formalized the policy regarding requirements for Lake Forest sponsored league teams. The requirements are as follows:

bullet

As per LFPOA rules, non-members may play for a Lake Forest BATA or USTA team for $50 per team/season.  This will entitle the player to play on Lake Forest tennis courts during matches & practices and to represent Lake Forest as part of an officially sponsored team.  This is in addition to any other fees that may be required by the BATA or USTA organization or the team captain.

bullet

Lake Forest property owners who are not tennis members may play on the team for $25 per team/season.

bullet

Team captains must submit a roster and a schedule of play to the Lake Forest tennis professional before the first match of the season.

bullet

The schedule of play must indicate the name and phone number of the captain, dates and times of the matches, the location of each match and the Lake Forest team members who will be playing in each match

bullet

The schedule of play must provide for all players on the team to participate in a reasonably equal number of matches.

bullet

A player may, by his or her own choice, ask to be replaced in a match by another player by contacting the captain in advance of the scheduled match.  The captain does not have to substitute another date for the player.

bullet

Each player must be given a copy of the schedule of play by the first match of the season.

bullet

The schedule of play for each team will be posted on the bulletin board at the Lake Forest tennis pro shop.

bullet

Should any player feel that he or she is not receiving a fair share of playing time, the player may file a complaint with the Lake Forest tennis professional and the Lake Forest Tennis Association Board of Directors.
