A committee of Lake Forest Property Owner's Association members selected by board member Dr. John Deloney, has begun deliberation to determine the recipients of the new LFPOA College Scholarship Program.  The names of the committee members are known only to Dr. Deloney.  While it is true that the board of directors has the authority to select members of any committee that serves the board, it was felt that in order to protect them from unwanted pressure, the committee member's names would remain anonymous.  The board's primary concern was that the scholarships go to the most deserving applicants living in Lake Forest.  Dr. Deloney has the complete confidence of the rest of the board and as a retired college president, his credentials as an educator speak for themselves.  The deadline for making application for this year has passed and the announcement of the recipients will be made soon.
