A Letter of Thanks from one of our Scholarship Recipients

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for Lake Forest’s commitment to education and for making the Lake Forest Scholarship available.  I am honored to have been awarded this scholarship.

I now find myself a freshman at Georgia Tech in the sprawling city of Atlanta.  It’s thrilling to live and study in the heart of this metropolis, and I am still awestruck by the incredible infrastructure and skyline here.  I am currently studying mechanical engineering, though honestly, most engineering fields fascinate me, and I’m not sure which one I’ll ultimately pursue.

After college I plan on working for an engineering firm for a short while and then become self-employed.  I find myself to be a very efficient worker and I know that will go to waste under the employment of someone else.  I do not count on necessarily making it big, but I will have the satisfaction of being my own boss.

Thank you again for this scholarship.  After living in Lake Forest for 14 years I sincerely appreciate your generosity and confidence in my ability.
