Sounds from the GrapevineMember suggests using name Scuttlebutt instead of Sounds From the Grapevine

The Webmaster received the following communication from one of our members.

My family and I moved to Lake Forest in July. I visited your website and spend many nights reading your archives before we decided to purchase our home. We moved from Pensacola and we enjoy the Daphne area very much. I think you do a fantastic job with the website and I know that some realtors give out your website to prospective buyers. I'm not sure if that is good or bad, especially with our political status and the bickering among the politicians of Lake Forest.

I’m in Texas tonight on a business trip and was trying to get caught up on the latest Lake Forest news and was surprised to read all the “scuttlebutt” about our new board and president. Then I read your request for a graphic artist. After that my wheels starting turning and ideas were flying out my ears.

First of all, I think the name Scuttlebutt definitely needs to stay. That is a perfect term for the people of Lake Forest to express their views and to just spread plain ole gossip. I came up with a few ideas that I have attached in Word format. I can’t wait to get home on Sunday because I have a program that can design what I envision as the perfect “button” for your gossip page if you label it “Scuttlebutt”. I would love to send it to you sometime early next week. If you choose not to use it, then I will try to come up with a few ideas for the “Sounds from the Grapevine” button as well.

What do you think?  The Suggestion Box is working again.  Why not let us know which name you would prefer for the new feature, Sounds from the Grapevine or Scuttlebutt?    The Webmaster is open to your preferences for the name.  Give us your vote.  By the way, speaking of the Suggestion Box, we will not acknowledge unsigned communications.  We will not be using anyone's name on the website, so don't worry about that, but at the same time we will require a name and the other information requested on the form.  This is merely just to keep down the cranks.
